Election Poll Running
I took the occasion of a leisurely Saturday morning 10-miler to count presidential election signs in my solidly middle-class neighborhood. Being a perpetual swing state, things tend to get a little testy here in Wisconsin when the presidential election rolls around every four years. Even a month before the election, there are a fair amount of signs out. The final count: McCain 23, Obama 1. Yes, just one lone yard had an Obama sign, which I don’t think bodes poorly for him since most of his votes seem to come from the cities (or people who don’t exist, which will undoubtedly be the case in Milwaukee); my neighborhood is about 25 miles away from the “big city” where all of the “enlightened” people live.
